The other "new" MST3K that I'm more fond of is called Rifftrax. That has Mike Nelson, Bill Corbett (voice of Crow) and Kevin Murphy (voice of Servo), and they'll occasionally swap in a "guest riffer" as well. Among the guest riffers so far has been a few other members of the MST3K cast, Wierd Al and Neil Patrick Harris. The big difference here is that on Rifftrax, they rip on the big name movies, and they do it very well. They also do some other smaller movies and shorts too. I've rounded up a collection of just over 80 different Rifftrax movies:

Just to give and idea about the kind of movies they rip on now. Of course, the downfall to that is that since I'm sure the movie studios are not terribly fond of their big "blockbuster" movies being ripped on, there's a catch to Rifftrax. That catch is that you have to provide your own copy of the movie, you only get an MP3 from them that contains them ripping on the movie. I'm sure that's to avoid any legal battles between them and the movie studios (as well as to avoid any distribution issues). You then use the player software that they provide to sync that MP3 file up with the movie. That, or you can do what I did and rip the movie to your hard drive and then open it in a video editor and add in that MP3 file at the appropriate place and then it's all synced up for good.
What's really kind of funny is that I work with a friend and not terribly long after we became friends she made some MST3K reference, which I caught immediately. I couldn't believe that I happened across another MST3K fan (though I know there was at least one other MST3K fan on here back when - that's why I'm posting this). So I of course offered to give her a copy of the 170 or so MST3K episodes that I have downloaded, which she gladly took. Now she has her two young'ish kids (10 and 16) hooked on MST3K as well; her husband isn't a fan and doesn't really seem like he can be warmed up to it. Then when I found out about Rifftrax, she, her kids and I were all like kids in a candy store - we just all went mental over it.
The long and short of it is that if you like MST3K, you'll probably really enjoy Rifftrax. So far I haven't had an opportunity to watch too many of the Rifftrax (I only found out about them in the middle of Aug. and things have been a bit crazy since then), but they've all been really good, except for maybe 1 of them that wasn't quite up to the same level as the other ones that I've watched, but they can't all be winners. It was the same way with MST3K - there'd be some really good episodes and some that weren't quite as good.
