DAVID CULLEN CB OBE (53): CHAIRMAN
General David Cullen retired from the British Army in July 2016. He finished his Service as the Assistant Chief of the General Staff responsible to the Army Board for 130,000 people worldwide and an annual budget of £9.7Bn; specifically, setting the conditions for the British Army to contribute to success on operations and ensuring coherence across the ‘defence Lines of development. In this role, and as a member of the Army Board, he was also responsible for the Army’s international engagement strategy and the British Army’s internal and external communications policy. As the Army’s senior officer in the Ministry of Defence David provided the gearing between the Ministry of Defence and Army Headquarters. David’s military career included leadership from Captain to General on military operations in the Falkland Islands, Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan – often within broader coalitions.
MAL CREASE (48): FOUNDER AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Mal is the Founder and owner of the Vector Group which includes the Jaguar Vector Racing Team along with media, maritime security and retail manufacturing companies
An entrepreneur at heart, since 2001 Mal has been a full-time investor and participant in the development of original sports, media and entertainment led intellectual property. He has been involved in the creation and roll-out of numerous successful early phase businesses in areas including brand marketing, retail manufacturing, technology and film.
Prior to 2001, Mal held various high-level commercial positions for MTV Europe, The FA Premier League, ISL Worldwide (UEFA, FIFA, ATP), Sportsworld Media Group and Formula 1. He has a very detailed understanding of sponsorship, brand marketing, content/format development, event management, experiential activation and connected technology. He also has significant experience and expertise within the motorsport and defence industries.
Mal has been a permanent member of the Vector Racing Team since its inception in 2012 and is a twice winner of the Cowes Classic, a two-time British Champion and member of the exclusive record-breaking Bluebird K7 Club.
PETER DREDGE (55): FOUNDER AND TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Peter has been a technical designer and competitive powerboat racer for over 30 years. Peter has unparalleled powerboat design, development and retail experience in the performance marine sector. He was the Royal Yachting Association’s (RYA) powerboat racing and motorboat manager for 14 years and was responsible for developing many of the safety standards and guidelines used today in all aspects of recreational and professional powerboat racing. Peter has won two World and three European Championships and has broken 21 World Speed and Endurance Records, 15 of which still stand. Peter has raced competitively in every offshore class and is currently a technical consultant to many private owners, federations and organising committees including the UIM and the RYA.
SIMON POWELL (51): OPERATIONS AND TRAINING DIRECTOR
Simon served in Britain’s elite Special Boat Service (SBS) for 17 years before embarking on a business career that has seen him start two specialist companies. Cerberus International supplies specialist offshore boat training to a wide selection of clients ranging from the UK Military, the Italian Guardia Finanza, the Hong Kong Police and immigration unit and a few select powerboat companies (www.cerberus-international.com) and Military Freefall Solutions supplies specialist parachute training to the US and foreign military units.
DUNCAN HEATH: NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Duncan Heath left school in 1964 and studied Law at the Inner Temple. He started work with William Morris Agency as an Assistant in 1972 before starting his own agency, Duncan Heath Associates which he sold to ICM in 1984 and became Chairman of the merged companies in 1990.
Following a management buyout in 2002, the company became known as Independent Talent Group and in 2011 sold 50% to Ron Burkle of Yucaipa Holdings. ITG now represents some of the greatest talent in the UK including directors Matthew Vaughn, Tom Hooper, Danny Boyle and actors Daniel Craig, Colin Firth, Dame Maggie Smith, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Sir Ian McKellen, writers such as Peter Morgan (The Crown, Last King of Scotland, Frost/Nixon, The Queen), Jane Goldman (Kingsman, X-Men: First Class), Matt Charman (Bridge of Spies) and David Walliams, the UK’s highest grossing author of 2017.
Duncan is also CEO of Y Entertainment Group LLC, a Director of CODA Agency and X-ray Touring and an Ambassador for the GREAT Britain Campaign.
